## Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about iptv firestick.

Yes. The stick runs Android underneath, so Android IPTV players install on it — typically IPTV Smarters Pro, TiviMate, Perfect Player or OTT Navigator. Your line loads with either an M3U URL or an Xtream Codes login.

Install the Downloader app from the Fire TV store, allow it to install unknown apps in Settings, then use it to fetch the player APK. Add your line with the Xtream login or the M3U URL. If the install is refused, it is the unknown-apps permission, not the file.

Only the Fire TV Stick 4K and 4K Max output 2160p. The standard Fire TV Stick is a 1080p device and downscales a 4K stream, so paying for 4K changes nothing on that hardware.

Usually storage or Wi-Fi rather than the subscription. Fire TV Sticks have very little storage and stutter when nearly full, and the stick sits behind the television at the edge of the signal. If it only buffers during evening peaks and is fine at midday, that one is the provider's capacity.

A Firestick is cheaper and adequate. A box gives you storage, a faster processor and an Ethernet port, which removes Wi-Fi from the equation — worth it if you mostly watch live sport in the evening.
